OCLAA
The Oromo Community of Los Angeles and Area (OCLAA) is a non-profit organization registered in the State of California. OCLAA was established in 2003 with the primary purpose is to bring together Oromos residing in the greater Los Angeles area to promote and celebrate their cultural and linguistic heritage as well as to provide humanitarian support to those in need.

Vision:
OCLAA’s vision is to become the most vibrant and successful Oromo community.

Mission:
OCLAA strives to build and maintain strong and progressive Oromo community in Los Angeles and surrounding areas that uplifts Oromo identity (oromummaa) and provides humanitarian support to its members and Oromos elsewhere.

Service – OCLAA strives to provide quality and equitable services to its members.
Develop – OCLAA promotes the development and preservation of Oromo culture, language, and traditions.
Cooperate – OCLAA encourages collaboration, unity, and togetherness among its members.
Respect – OCLAA treats all its members equally and respectfully irrespective of their political, religious, and regional affiliations or beliefs.
Inclusive – OCLAA encourages the participation of all members irrespective of age, gender, religion, region, political affiliations, economic status, and education level in the leadership and activities of the organization.
